Week in the Life 2012 | The Completed Album

I finally got around to editing the pics from my Week in the Life 2012 album. And I’m so happy to share it.

It was a bit of a tough week so some of the journaling is blurred.  Also, Ada fell really bad of her face in daycare that week. She was fine but looked really swollen. You just can’t plan those things. But in hindsight I’m glad this is the week I picked to document.

Enjoy!

I used the navy We R Memorykeepers 8.5×11 album I originally bought for Week in the Life 2011 and opted not to use then anyways. It seemed appropriate for this non-cheery week even though it was May.

As you can see in the following pictures I used a TON of Studio Calico stuff. Mostly the Take Note collection. I also used quite a bit of journal cards from the Project Life Clementine Core Kit. I stamped with an older kit stamp by Studio Calico, now available in the Heyday Thoughts stamp set.

The format is a 4×4 grid that totals 8.5×11 inches. I’m really bad at non-metric measuring so I won’t get into that. :P I went with neutral colours with pops of bright yellow and tomato red. All the photos were printed on my lovely Selphy CP800. I could print two photos on a 4×6 sheet.

I managed to keep it up by scrapping the days every following night. I didn’t take notes, I just wrote down what I could remember as I went. Also, the majority of the photos are taken with my iPhone. It’s all about easy here. :) Last year was a HUGE project.

This is wonderful. It really shows a snapshot of real life… nothing better! I have always been intimidated by this project but your approach is really inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing it.
