This card is made with one thing in mind: Being really easy to do with few and inexpensive tools and materials.
I used mostly paper together with some punches. The kind of punches you get at office supply stores – not the expensive scrappy brand punches. I cut a strip of white textured cardstock and punched a row of ‘negative’ hearts. I used the same punch to make a red heart and then trimmed it with scissors to make it slightly smaller to fit in the negative space. I also punched some dots with a regular ‘holes-for-binders’ paper punch.
Also, the premade embellishments are kept to a minimum with just a couple wood veneer stars, a cheapo doily and some natural twine I’ve had around the house for ages.
The slanted strips are cut on my paper trimmer but could just as easily be done with scissors. I didn’t measure any angles anyways and no-one would ever know.
By the way, I’m hoarding that green dotted paper from Crate. It’s delish, I don’t remember what it’s called (sigh) and I aim to use every. single. bit. O_O
Hope you like it!
